Diet Breakdowns

As RDs, we believe in lifestyle changes, not diets.  Diets are temporary changes, while lifestyle changes consist of adopting healthy habits that will promote long term weight control and health. Lifestyle changes incorporate not only what you eat, but other factors that affect weight and health. The Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported that only 20 percent of dieters successfully maintained their weight loss in the long term. The Fad Free team believes lifestyle changes are key to long term weight maintenance and healthy eating habits.

Life is hectic, but eating should not be stressful.  Fads are everywhere, which is why we believe healthy balanced eating is the key to success.  Fad diets often promise dramatic, unrealistic weight loss results. In fact, many fad diets do not meet the nutrition needs of most people.

When it comes to losing weight and eating healthy, there are no shortcuts.  Let’s be real, if it were easy, everyone would do it!
